Did a PPT at Turner's in Reseda last night. Smooth and easy, polite workers, fast processing. Everyone was nice, competent, and yes they know all about Calguns. BTW they had lots of ammo for sale but about 7 handguns in the whole store. Oh, and one of the guys recognized me from doing PPTs at the Pasadena store. I'm buying way too many guns!

You know, I've usually had reasonable experiences at Turner's. Only two bad ones that really weren't all that bad, both related to an idiot salesperson making an off-color comment about a gun I'd just purchased and was picking up. ("Who ordered that piece of crap?" type comments, because I prefer Savage rifles over Remington.) -
hahaha. You should of told our guy, "Oh no! How dare I buy a rifle that is half the price and shoots twice as good as a remington!!!"

I don't have a problem with Turners. I recently went to buy a 10/22 from them but they didn't have the model I wanted. Synthetic stock, stainless barrel. The guy behind the counter was friendly and called around to several other stores to see if they had one in stock, even though his inventory log said they didn't."We're surrounded.....that simplifies our problem."

I too recently had a similar experience.
We, me and another CalGunner, were the only customers in the store. PPT went quickly. This was on a Sunday at noon.Comment

I think it depends a great deal on which Turner's you go to. The one's here in San Diego tend to have fewer knuckle-draggers and less drama than the ones some of you go to up in LA. I have had a few negative experiences with salespeople in them over the years, but I have had far more positive experiences, and they usually have better prices. From what I have heard on here, the one in Reseda needs to be avoided like the plague, but others seem to be decent enough places to get guns and gun-related items.Originally posted by aplinkerIt's OK not to post when you have no clue what you're talking about.Comment

I did a PPT last Saturday and Monday at the Reseda Turners. The Saturday went smoothly in & out in 20 minutes but the Monday PPT took 45 minutes (employee messed up some of the paperwork). The employees were nice and polite though. I think the end of the world gun buyers have calmed down causing less stress on the employees which creates some better customer service.Comment

You fooled me.
I thought you were going to say that there was a fire.
Please note - I'm in Northern California, but after all the posts about FUD and bad business, I'm even against Turner's!The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.
