    1911 question

I have a Springfield 1911 9mm and I am about to install a new rear sight. I didn’t remove the old rear sight (long story) so I’m just checking...does the new sight slide on left to right? I mean as looking down from the back.

Left to Right to remove. Right to Left to install.

Yep.. easiest way to remember, remove in the same direction as case ejection. Install in opposite direction.

I have one and the plain black sites suck. Who makes decent one's for it? White dots would work fine.

I believe there is a Small Spring underneath the Sight, be careful on Removal.

Thanks guys, worked like a charm. I started it with a brass punch and hammer and finished with a sight pusher. I mounted an FF3 on an EGW sight mount.
