They are offering 'individualized/targeted deals'... probably they are about the same for everyone.

Just bite the bullet and go for a Life Membership on the payment plan.

With the attacks on 2A going strong, NRA needs to keep it's ranks strong.

I am in GOA, GOC, NRA, CRPA, ,SAF, and a few others. Why must it be one or the other and this one is better than that one. They all do more for you than the enemy. If I can save a few bucks on any of them it helps.

I stopped giving to the NRA years ago. I give frequently to CRPA.

Thanks ajb78 that's what I was looking for. Again I will say it. Don't just pick one group because it does something better than the next one. Support them both or as many as you can. Do you think Bloomberg only supports one?

While some don't actually understand what the NRA is and how they operate it is still the largest 2nd Amendment supporter. The other ones may sounds good on paper but just don't have the reach and notieriety the NRA has.

On the extreme "cheap, or broke, maybe both" topic (although I don't think this is what OP is looking for)...

Associate Membership can be a useful tool sometimes. However, you won't get the magazine subscription nor accrue voting rights. But it's better than having no skin in the game at all, IMO.
