I felt cheated by my Bullet Button.

It seems that while I was at work it was breaking out of my safe and going out dropping mags for just any old AR.

My MMG and U-15 have been faithful as a dog however.

I opted to send in that AW registration card in 2000.

I don't know what I was thinking before 2000. I remember going into Target Master's, or maybe it was TriCity, and all ready to purchase a Colt Flat Top M4gery. And for whatever reason, I bought a Rem 700VSS.

Several years ago, I remember going out of state, and seeing all the good things people could buy outside of California, but I could only look, but not take home with me.

Back in January 2006, when I built up my first OLL, I could look in my safe and see I actually had a rifle that I thought I could never own again behind the iron gates of California. I have two MMG featureless builds and two BB builds .... Could I have more outside of this state ..YES! Do I have more than I did before January 2006..YES!

So I do find the bullet button somewhat more inconvenient than a standard magazine release, but I am not sure I feel cheated (other than by this state's draconian laws). I do feel grateful, that hopefully I own something I can pass onto my son (unless there more laws to prevent that from happening).

Yea, I think I'm prolly going to go that route.

Can somebody explain what a bullet button does, and how it works?

                Same with top loader.

                Thanks,

I feel cheated that my right has been infringed upon. Nothing against the BB, just against the culture that allows a right that was not to be infringed, to be infringed.

Oops... talk like that might get me on a secret list somewhere

I feel cheated every time I send off an alimony payment, put fuel in my truck or get a ticket for talking on my cellphone while stuck in traffic but in retrospect no, I don't feel cheated by the bullet button.

Me too. And as someone else stated, the 10 round mag is what is really limiting. I've now replaced my Bullet Buttons with Raddlocks, since I like to also go to a NV range. Just a few turns of a screw, and I'm fully functional!

Then you'd better go and add the pistol gripped Sage stock so that you're actually getting something useful out of having a BB on your M1A.
