    What Gun Would You Have?

    Scenario:

California has just passed a law the you could only own one firearm, but it could be any firearm you want (no restrictions).

    I would want a Dillon M134 minigun.

May not be trendy, But I would keep my Savage 24s O/U .22/20 gauge. Universally handy in furry/feathery game aquisitions. Some self defense capabilities. You did say just ONE.

I'm thinking you should just remove the whole "what if California made a law" thing from your hypothetical scenario, otherwise you're just going to get a bunch of "I'd leave the state" answers.

Now, if for whatever magical, imaginary reason, I could only have one gun, offhand I'm thinking maybe a select-fire AR-10 ... or perhaps some other select-fire .308.

GAU-8. And some sort of vehicle to mount it to.

If the requirement is that it is man portable then I supposed I could settle for a PKM (auto-fire of 7.62x54r sure sounds like a good time)

If I was in even more of a dire financial situation, and I had to sell guns to afford food... I absolutely would not ever ever part with my M2HB.
