    Ak build parts....

    I have:
    Receiver (NDS-3)
    Parts Kit (Romy G)

    Just ordered:
US Compliance parts (gas piston, muzzle brake, trigger, hammer, disconnector)
Synthetic Stock (because I need to replace the front handguard, so decided to go all out)

Anything that I am missing for the build?

Rivets, HF bolt cutter, dremel, HF air hammer (for that damn barrel pin), BBQ paint, wooden mallet, oven, huge vise, some scrap metal for the trigger guard rivets, and beer.

DPHARMS.com is a great source to get them. I compared theirs to the Tapco ones and I like DPH better.

I am going to try these U drive screws and see how that works out.

I did build like this - works fine...... Still thinking of taking it apart and doing it with rivets, just for the hell of it....

Personally, I order my rivets from www.ak-builder.com. They have this nice black finish to 'em that holds up pretty well to the crushing tools.

I saw one Grammaton76 built here the other day and it did look really good. And my wife called me and told me there was a bunch of parts at the house so I am guessing all my parts showed up for my build.

Here is an idea, everyone order your parts, get them all together, we'll all come over to my house and Grammaton will give us all a class on how to .

So I just got home from work and Santa has been here. Most of my AK parts are sitting here . It is in better shape then I thought it would be, a little clean up and some sanding on the wood and it will be one good looking rifle. The rest of the parts will be here tomorrow!!!!!!! So I'm buying the beer, hows up for a build this weekend??

It is going to get reparked any way, so I dont need anything fancy.

Actually, gram, I assume that for a NDS-3 build with a G kit I would order the AKM fixed stock rivets?
