It hurts. It hurts a lot!
I can't figure it out. Felt recoil goes into your hand, wrist, arm, elbow, shoulder, back, and neck ... not your finger! In the last 3 or 4 weeks, I've been at the range maybe twice a week and only shot through 1k. That's not a whole lot of ammo. About 500 rounds of .22, 200rds of .223, 800-900rds of .45/.40/9mm/.380. I use a reloading tool so I'm saving my thumb. What's wrong with me? Maybe the trigger pull is too heavy or I'm just a wimp!
I checked with my doc and had some x-rays done - results were negative. It hurts on the first knuckle of the index finger (base of the finger) on the radial side/thumb side. Flexion, extension, rotation, and simply wagging your finger (
) hurts. I just got some acupuncture, maybe that'll help. I'm doing a hot wax/paraffin dip every night - it helps a little.
Maybe it's time to do some trigger work on my guns. Hopefully it isn't necessary. And, NO, I'm not selling my stuff! In the meanwhile, I'll just start shooting Lefty.
Anyone sprained their finger?
