Why is ca missing out on the micro 380 market ?

I know they have the Bersa 380, the kahr 380, and the sig 238 - but why is the
Ruger LCP 2, the Taurus Spectrum, S&W Bodyguard, and others out of the ca market ?

Is adding a “ load chamber indicator “ that much trouble - would tooling for the ca market be that hard.

The Ruger, Taurus, and Bodyguard are usually priced under $300 so wouldn’t those pistols outsell the sig and kahr who are $600 + otd?

I know this is a rant, but I would buy a couple of those forbidden weapons to make those companies a profit- just think of the cc market, the ladies that like small weapons and the elderly / disabled that want a small caliber weapon.

    I love my LCP 2

Wouldn't sell it for $1K. CCW while jogging can't be bought with money!!

Loaded chamber indicator is the least of the problems. The real problem is microstamping, a technology that does not exist.

Not sure if this is even a serious question or just a rant. This is not a problem of tooling or a lack of desire by manufacturers. The real, bottom line answer is that we have anti gunners running this state.

        Because roster requirements.
The loaded chamber indicator requirement wast put in before the micro stamping, and the mini .380’s didn’t take off until after that.

And because why would a govt want it’s citiz to have inexpensive, concealable, self-defense firearms readily available?

Effectively, no new pistols can be added to the roster since Kamala Harris said so.

I think it is because of the microstamping thingie.

This post makes me sad. Not because of the questions but because it's another reminder of how we have such ridiculous gun laws.

Not only is the roster affecting what can be sold new in the state, the CCW market is a lot smaller here than it could be, because of the reluctance to issue.

Is that micro stamping requirement still DUAL location s/n stamping to cover for firing pin replacement?
Any gun makers researching this? I wouldn't think the CA market would be large enough to warrant it.
I hope it is not being looked at as I would not want all future pistols in the country to have it.. I am also glad my Kimber Micro .380 does not have the loaded chamber indicator..

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

That Micro 380ACP will become a Macro when they add all the
                              so-called safety features
