Built a target stand today while it was slow at work

Heres one I built for a trip in a couple weeks. Its a 15x15 armor plate ,ar500.
I built the stand from scrap the construction guys had laying around my data center. If anyone has an idea on a simpler or LIGHTER frame please share your ideas. This thing weighs at least 20 pounds but maybe that good since the plate weighs about that also. I think I may paint the plate white so you can see the impacts.

I made a few changes. Added cross brace. Lowered plate 5 inches and painted her white.

Yep white would definately be easier to see. It looks taller than the feet are long so you might want to stake it down when you shoot at it.

It is about to get paited white in a few minutes. The stand is 38 inches tall. The legs are 34 inches in length. I think it may be ok. I could always take 4-5 inches off in height if it becomes an issue.

Staking it down might be a good idea anyway. Just take a couple of metal tent stakes.

Looks nice! I might have to copy it, if I ever figure out where I can use one.

You might want to lean a 4' x 8' plywood sheet up against your couch though. The bullet splatter will make short work of the fabric. Mmm, cover the TV while you're at it.

You may really want to lean it forward or back... I seen a similar setup with the bottow crossbar and it got destroyed from the led "splashing" downwards.

I painted my plate also as the regular color of metal was not reflective enough for my laser rangefinder to pick up accurately.
