    Road trip from hell

Hello all, I'm back online after a week road trip to Kansas to shoot prairie dogs. I recently bought a toy hauler for my ATV and decided to take a vacation. I found the prairie dog hunt online, and they allow one to roam a ranch and blast away for 100/day. Off I went!

I traveled I40 thru AZ, NM, then thru SE Colorado to Syracuse KS. I had a great shoot, lost count of the kills. I can't post images right now, limited computer capacity. The weather was bad, it snowed and the wind was gusting to 60 knots.

I'm currently chilling in Laughlin, chasing 17 black. (those who know me know what I'm talking about)

When I was single I preferred 19 asian over 17 black!

Not to mention 17 will be illegal in most states...

That's a long way to drive. I'm up in Minnesota right now and will be heading back to CA in the morning. I expect it to take me 3 days. Long time to drive by myself.

Several days later the bolt was rusted shut but I guess the fouling wasnt TOO bad.

              Do prairie dogs taste good?

Buzzards seem to think their little sun-dried splattered remains are muy delicioso.

Personally, I'd have to be in a Mad Max scenario before I'd fry up one of the little buggers.

Gets me excited thinking about my first prairie dog hunt next month. My drive won't be quite as long. Going to carpool with a buddy of mine and drive from KY to SD. Flying over there and will probably fly back from IA.

were you shooting from a boat?

We used to have a word for shooting prairie dogs: "sighting in."

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)
