Fantastic. My daughter started shooting in 2010 at 15, by the end of 2013 she had an AR and her FSC, and I transferred a handgun to her just after she got her FSC. She loves shooting

My eldest grand daughter started shooting when she was 6. My son bought her a Savage "Rascal", which turned into a "Tactical Rascal" with the addition of a red dot sight and bi-pod.

As she grew into a young lady, she kind of out grew the Rascal. Grandpa picked up a stainless 10/22 Ruger and had the synthetic stock Hydro Dipped in "Muddy Girl Camo". It turned out beautiful.

When I uncased it for her at the range, I was completely melted by the look on her face. It was a good day.
      Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

      Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)

[QUOTE=bako88fan;22395106]Daughter turned 21 last month. She doesn't know it yet, but she's shooting her Christmas present.

Me too! Both of my adult daughters wanted a handgun for Christmas, so we gave each their pick of what I had.. Difference in kids--1-Glock 19. 1-S&W snubby....

My daughter turned 21 today. They had the single shot Cricket rifles on sale for Black Friday. i picked a pink one up for her even though she won't be ready to shoot for a few more years.

Edit- oops, I meant 21 months!

My daughters love to go shooting and are very much aware of all the cardinal gun safety rules. I’m encouraging both of them to get their CCWs, let’s see if they do.

Not me. I worked hard to get my PPS I'd never get rid of it - my fave CCW gun!

I was just poking fun getting you on the hook to show us just how much you love your daughter in terms of cold hard cash, lol.

My daughter has never really been interested in learning to shoot, but when her friend and college room-mate asked if I would teach her about handguns my daughter had to come along too.
Sunday afternoon was a good time for all of us so we got together after church and I showed them several of the guns we were going to try out. I figured .22, .38 and .45 would give them a nice range of calibers for the first time.
We headed out to a spot on BLM land that I really like, set up some shade and got right to it.
I brought two Ruger Mark IIs, two .38 revolvers, my Springfield 1911A1, and my Uberti "Regulator" (.45 Colt).

The girls took right to it and did some serious damage to paper targets at 15 yards.
They really preferred the .22 but went back for seconds on the .45, too.
(After I posted this on Facebook my daughter told me that she preferred the .38s: Ruger SP101 and Ruger GP100)

Afterward we went for Jersey Mike's Subs. A perfect day.

My 46 year old daughter still has the AR-7 I bought her when she was 7 (and several others). She's a lefty (handed not politically) so she's waiting for me to kick off so she get my LH German MKV 300 Wratherby. Grandson has Norinco knock off of take down Browning 22 auto and an OM Ruger Bearcat. They both also have 80% featureless ARs.

My daughter is currently in the military, and headed to a specialized unit that does a lot with really neat personal weapons, and some stuff that very few others get a chance to experience. My gift to her for getting through that training, as I have promised, is ANY new Nighthawk Custom Pistol of her choosing.
