After viewing that, the only advantage guns have over bladed weapons is distance, A knife, sword or other bladed weapon is super deadly and should be considered a lethal threat even if it isn't as hyped as a firearm.

I personally know women who is 4th and 5th degrees black belts and would beat crap out of me and most of the male population on this planet if they have to. So what?
Percentage of women marines or black belts or weight lifters are so small it is irrelevant to my statement.
First of all they all trained professionals and I was specifically talking general population. Second of all you need to compare you want to compare marines you need to compare women marines to male marines. Is this you statement that given you average women and marine they will fight bare hands evenly?
On other hands if you tell me that women marine as good of a shoot as a man with rifle/pistol that I would totally agree with.
You average male is much stronger than you average women. If you leave women and man along in closed room in 90%+ cases it will be a man who will come out. That is the truth, whoever politically incorrect it may be.
Think about this that way: If you have a sister/mother/daughter who is some kind of trouble, what would you tell her: go start taking weight lifting, enroll into marines or just pickup snub nose .38sp?
My point was that it takes significantly less time to achieve enough mastery with firearm to give you decent chance than in any other way. Will you be as good as SWAT member? No, but in the dark room you still have much better chance with the gun than trying to fight martial artist with bear hands.

BTW. What about Amazons? Besides the fact that they were (sic) highly trained professionals you mean to tell me that you think such thing actually existed?

The problem is that outside of firearms and exceptionally intensive training, there is no way to overcome weight/size discrepancies. Yes women can do as well as men in hand to hand combat if they are extremely well trained: old school chinese kung-fu duels often had women competing against men, but these were both highly trained individuals who had lived, ate and breathed fighting arts for years. Anyone can become good enough with a firearm in a few months to take on just about anyone no matter what size or how many there are. I have met octogenarian women at my gun club that can outshoot me, a strapping young male. Firearms truly are the best personal force equalizer invented.

I don't know what having a gun has to do with inspiring the sparks of a revolution vs the printing press.

In no way are the guns THE GREAT EQUALIZER. Some people can afford better guns than others. I don't know about you but I can't afford that $2000+ customized M1A that some of these people can afford or these high quality les baer 1911 handguns people have.

Be it whether your a guy or gal have to be better armed and better trained than the assailant attacking you.

If your within 10 feet of someone, you can EASILY stab someone WAY before they have a chance to even draw on you.
