    Best way to buy powder??

I'm in the bay area and it seems my choice is either buy locally, expensive. Or buy online and pay a hazmat fee, also expensive.
    Is there a better way?
Now my idea because I travel up and down 680 or 880 and 101 several times a week would be to do a group buy and pay one hazmat fee. I could deliver powder c.o.d. to my buying partners in the bay area.
    Could work.

Plenty of places have "no hazmat" sales from time to time.
    Just watch for 'em.
Note as well that buying local also means sales tax, of course.

I'm in the Martinez area and there are few shops that have a decent selection of powders etc at reasonable prices.

Keep an eye out for Black Friday deals and either free hazmat/shipping along with discounted prices. I still have a bit of powder, or I'd be all over a group buy on powder! There have been several group buys in the past, but I haven't seen too many pop up recently. Post up in the East Bay Reloading thread and you may get some good participation.

Unless you friendly local was charging $200/8# for Green Dot during the Great Powder drought. Then eff 'em.
