    Range in Sacramento Area

We are going up to the Sac area to visit our daughter next week. She lives in Carmichael area.

Gonna take a couple of my pistols along with me for some father/daughter time.

    Any ranges near her?

Sac valley is probably the best range in california. But if you're just doing pistols, the gun range in North highlands is perfect for that
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

i would go to sac gun club before "the gun range". prob with "the gun range" are the seriously ghetto *** people who shoot there. the place is great for a ppt or other purchase but terrible for the shooters that frequent the location.

Sac valley is a great place to go. If you have 22’s, they have a reactive range that can be good fun. Pistol and rifle ranges as well are top notch. Just be aware that with the fires in n ca, the air quality is hazardous in that area

I would go up to Lincoln rifle club in Lincoln. From Carmichael it's probably closer.

Another vote for sac gun club. The gun range used to be my favorite indoor range before the opening of sac gun club. SGC is much cleaner and safer with great lighting .

Ditto. The Gun Range is a great place to buy/PPT, but the range clientele can be unsafe. The only restriction with the Sac Gun Club is 1rd per second. You can only shoot faster if you are a member and have qualified for their "controlled rate of fire" card.

Sac Valley is an awesome outdoor range.

                  1. Sac Valley, make a day of it if you've never been there. Tons of pistol bays and .22 rim fire range with lots of steel silhouettes.
                  2. Dillman in Lincoln, small outdoor range, get there early. Used to love this place, great range masters.
                  3. The Gun Range, if you like to live on the wild side, maybe a little ghetto but they have a great staff, rapid fire and a .416 lapua
                  **** your feelings!

THE GUN RANGE is the best choice, easy access , Walmart next door with cheap ammo

                    $17 no time limit

                    rapid fire allowed

                      +1 for The Gun Range
I have never had a problem with other shooters.

The gun range is fine if you practice good situational awareness.

Bring more guns and go to Sac Valley. Sac Valley or bust. I feel so spoiled living close to Sac Valley. It has to be the best range in CA.

I always keep my firearms with me, I dont even load them back in the car unless I have someone to watch the car and stay outside.

thieves will watch people loading firearms back in vehicles and possibly do a quick smash and grab theft, when you go back inside to buy something in the gun store, always stay with your firearms.

this could happen at any of the indoor ranges near Sacramento, especially if you go at night.

+1 for The Gun Range. Ask if you can use a lane on the training side. If you feel like going outdoors, Lincoln range is good to go.
