    Check FFL01 App Status

Anyone have the number handy to check on status of an FFL01 application? I submitted an application about a month ago and the only thing I heard back was that I forgot to fill in a field. So I filled that it and sent it back, but wanted to know where I was in their queue. I've done some google-fu, but haven't been able to easily find a phone number or email address online. Don't have access to my paperwork right now so wasn't sure if there was a number on there either.

Anyone able to point me to an email or phone number to try?

    Thanks,
    DJBooya

I just called the local office of the ATF. For me they were in Santa Ana. The front of your phone book should have it.

That worked, thanks. -- left a VM for a guy on East Coast so I should find out my status soon.

Interesting note, the person I spoke to in my local office said they've seen an up tick in applications. I asked her why she thought that and she said probably because more people are trying to get by to make some dough because of the economy.. Also, I must say, as much crap as we give the ATF, and government entities in general, the person I spoke to was VERY helpful and VERY personable. Went out of her way to get me the right person's name to contact and a direct number so I didn't have to go through the switchboard..

I thought the closest office was in LA?

This is the time to work on your patience....it took about 10 weeks for my FFL to process. Checking the mail every day with hopefull anticipation got old after awhile, but it finally came!
