Why are so many condors being shot.....

Wonder why some people are killing the CA condors? They are using illegal lead ammo to do so too.

Both individuals were also diagnosed with potentially irreversible damage to their digestive tracts due to lead poisoning, most likely from ingesting carrion shot with led buckshot and left by hunters, in spite of a 2008 hunting regulation revision banning lead bullets in the condor's California range.

kentucky fried condor. dont' knock it til youve tried it. it's hard to feel sorry for species like condors and pandas that are too lazy to have sex.

Yep.
The various causes of death were listed here awhile back, with lead at the bottom and electrical wires at the top of the list along with stupidity and antifreeze.

I actually got to see one in person. I was at work outside and the airport was close by, however this time the shadow of the plane was in the wrong place. Looked up and saw a huge bird, about 100 feet of the ground gliding overhead, estimate about a 12 foot wingspan, never saw it flap its wings, just sailed off till the building blocked my view, beautiful, never forget it.
