Just bought this from a co-worker. Its a 30-06 Parker-Hale. It was fully painted and so far have removed the paint from trigger guard and barrel. He says the stock is wood with clear coat with the paint over it. Don't know what to use to remove paint from stock yet.

The '06 w/scope is my "go to" gun when TSHTF. Why stop'm at 20 feet when you can stop'm at 300 yards?
