    What do you call...

Is there a name/term for that one-handed action/motion used to put your gun in a position to move/remove the takedown release? It is popular with Glocks but it is also used on many other guns. I'm talking about holding the gun in the palm of one hand while you push up with the web of your thumb and down with your fingers to move the gun to the proper position.

If there isn't a term we need to create one.

I have a move like that one,
I call it "a hand job".

I use my right hand though.

If I use my left hand,

          I call it "a stranger".

John M. Browning called it putting the pin in the hole.

Tape a little fur around it, you'll get the idea.

Actually it takes two hands because your free hand pulls out the slide stop. It keeps you from having to use the paperclip "tool" they include with the gun. If you follow the manufacturer's instructions take down is a PITA and takes three hands. Since it has a captured spring set up similar to a Glock this makes it a piece of cake.
