Chop it and throw on a BE Meyers (since you're asking)

Ar15barrels thank you . And I understand that I can meet that 16in requirement I am just confused about going about it . the barrel is already pinned and welded how do I go about removing the pinned/ welded to replace it ?

I just check the BE Meyers. Looks pretty impressive any advice on compensators or maybe a flash comp combo.

                IMO...
If you are in SoCal, he's the best person do the work on your barrel.

I drove all the way down from Tracy and back right after my appointment a couple years ago for Randall’s services on several uppers for the exact same procedure as well as some other work.

Totally worth it. Knows what he’s doing blindfolded! Removal, Pin and weld done right. Send it if you can’t get down there.

If you can see where the pin is welded on the FH you can grind the weld off enough to get the pin out and then the FH can unscrew off. What ever you decide to do remember once it is off that upper needs to remain off the lower separated until your new muzzle brake is permanently attached.

Sacramento is now considered So Cal since Portland and Seattle are now part of California.

OP should consider what brake/compensator he wants on the barrel and ship everything to Randall. The job gets done right the first time...
