    Agency Arms - Terrible business

I hope this is the appropriate forum to post my vent. I read the rules and I don't see anything in there stating I can't bash a online vender.

Anyone have a bad experience with Agency Arms?
I ordered a blemished barrel from them. They just called me saying they screwed up with their inventory system and they don't have any. Understandable. But I feel they should own up to that mistake and do what they can to fulfill that order and promptly remove that item from online. They have not removed that item from online, it's still up as I type this. They also want me to pay full price for a non-blemished or cancel the order. Fair warning for others looking into their products.

So an online business made a simple mistake in inventory, caught it, and informed you and they are a "terrible business"? How are they going to fulfill an order when they don't have what you want? Is this another I want free stuff or I'm going to bad mouth you thread?

What did they actually do to be deemed a "terrible business"?

Thanks Bababoris. I went to Blacklist's site, unfortunately they are sold out.

Strakill: I don't agree with their business practice. They made a mistake posting a product online for a certain price and claimed it was in stock. I ordered it and due to their inventory mistake, will not replace with another in-stock version. I had to cancel or pay $52 more for the in-stock version. I own a business too. And I've made advertisements for products that were out of stock. An order came in before I was able to remove it. We honored the previous price when new inventory came in for that customer.

Some businesses will go the extra mile, some do what everyone else does. Terrible would be to charge a 20% "re-stock" fee on a canceled order for an item that is not in stock...

Yes, they made a mistake. Cancel the order and move on. No harm, no foul.

If the product is still on the site, they may not have an in-house editor.

Snowflake would like them to take it in the shorts over a simple, honest mistake and sell you a perfect barrel for a blem price?

Is that how it works at your job?

Thanks for the support. Their pricing is still competitive at full price for what they offer, but I feel they rubbed me the wrong way. Moving on and giving my money to someone else.

Lame. The in stock version is not blemished, so it isnt for sale at blem pricing.

Did they tell you they dont ever expect blem barrels in, or that they wouldnt honor the price when they do?

You clearly want a better barrel for the proce of a blem.

Yes it does work that way where I work. Simple and honest, yes, but a mistake none the less. Own up.

Really? Did you sell something at less than cost that wasnt blem, or did you just honor a sale price despite the item being out of stock?

                          Weak.

“Own up”? What does that mean to you? They admitted a mistake. Thats what it means.

It doesnt mean jackpot for you.

Same thing happened to me by a dealer in 1992. I forget what I ordered.

They didn't say either. Just a simple, we can't sell you what you purchased online because we don't have it. And we aren't going to do anything to rectify it.
