    Chula Vista Gun Store

So i needed an LPK and I called Chula Vista Gun Store (not the best place, I know- but they're all gone everywhere).....The owner said that he had them on the way...

I asked how much and the tool tells me --> 189.99

I ask is that for 2?

He says, no way....thats what they cost right now. He's "barely making anything off of them."

Supply and demand is one thing- but aviod this gouger at all costs.

I just kinda laughed...said whatever and said bye.

I am tempted to call back and see what 45 acp costs lol....

Chula Vista Gun Store is more a 'supply' store than a 'gun' store.

Been there twice. NEVER seen a gun in there. No customers when I went. Not surprised they are overpricing stuff. Surprised they're still in business.

Most of the good gun stuff seems to be north of the I-8.

I recall a thread about gun shops in South County and someone said CVGS does not have an FFL and it only sells supplies.

Why is he a tool? I must of missed the part where it was his business and he has the right to charge what he wants. Just like we have the right to buy where we want.

I remember when Chula Vista Gun Store used to actually have guns. It was way back when and all they seemed to carry were "evil" weapons that all made it onto the first ban back in '94. Then I seem to recall them being closed for a while and when they reopened, all of the guns were gone.

Yes...it is his business... And he can price his stuff as he wants- but for him to outright lie and say that he is barely profiting? C'mon.... Oh well......If you support him- I respect your opinion and your stance and that's fine- to each his own.

I didnt say I supported him. I'm just curious as to why he is a tool. As far as his "outright lie", its called salesmenship. Go to a car lot and see it at its worst.
$180 bucks for an LPK is a fricken rip off! dont get me wrong, I would of totally just nodded my head said, "alright, I'll be back later for that." and placed a back order with riflegear

Just an FYI, CA Police Equipment (just south of I-8, off I-15, exit east 1/4-mile on El Cajon Blvd.) is under new ownership. If you remember Patrick from Discount Gun Mart, he is the new manager at CPE. They are doing some major changes, adding inventory (in a time when every distributor is in an inventory crunch!), becoming certified armorers for various brands, etc. My impression is that they are making a really solid effort to revitalizing the store. And it's only 10 minutes from Fry's and Walmart. That way I can blow my budget in one trip! (Saving gas is really important, right?)
