In SAC/ Broadway Bait & Gun or Badger John's?

Any experiences PPTing at either shop? I'll be in Sacto for a pistol buy this weekend and their hours jive with the seller's schedule.

C'mon- where are all the Sacramento shooters at?

I have never ppt at either one of these places by i have heard of good things about badger johns. I have been there a few times but I have never done business with them mainly because I give my business to another gun shop but they do seem like nice people over there

Go to River City Gun Exchange (24th and Fruitridge between Freeport Blvd and I-99). Good people and they get the paperwork done quickly. Don't forget to get a gun lock along with a receipt. Just have the Seller sell you a gunlock for a .01 and have them write a receipt for you.

If not River City Gun Exchange, there's J&G Gunsmithing in Granite Bay (Roseville area) which may be far from your location. Call Badger John's first and check.

I've done business with RCGE and J&G. Highly recommended.

I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

Done two at Broadway and one at Badger Johns. Both went smooth, no issues or attitudes Was the seller in one and the buyer in two of the transactions.

ETA: and no BS extra fees

RCGE is closed on Sundays but you could do the transfer on Sunday at Guns Fishing and other stuff in Vacaville they are open.I have been into the Broadway gunstore a few times but never done a PPT there.

River City Gun Exchange is great but often very busy and crowded. EBR friendly. Closed Sun, Mon.

Broadway Bait is business like and gets the job done. Very dark store with aisles jammed with fishing gear. Folks bring their dead ducks in there early on Sunday.

Badger John's is great also, no needless hassles. Huge store, often not very busy. Just did a $50 + Fee out of state transfer after he couldn't find or order the Marlin I was looking for. Some nice consignment guns right now. Good selection of cammo baby clothes and lingerie. Three minutes off the freeway.

Broadway bait is only good for one thing. Live Bait. Other than that, you'll get twice the stuff you paid for if you buy elsewhere.

If PPT fees weren't limited. They would gouge you. Look around their store.

8 dollar packs of Owner hooks that RETAILS for 4 dollars.
24 dollar Lucky Craft Lures that RETAILS for 13 Dollars

get this.. 90 Clay targets.. 25 Dollars, Retail price 9 dollars.

The funny thing is.. Im not comparing them to walmart but expensive (or cheap?) bait shops nearby.

Last year, I bought a dozen pile worms and they were about 4 inches each stretched out and half of them were broken. Usually they are almost a foot long each. Anything under 8" is small.

I've been to badger johns and they had nothing but excellent customer service. All the staff there were super friendly and gave me an awesome deal on an mkII. Two thumbs up for them.

                  Broadway Bait

Completed one PPT there - no issues and no attitudes.
