Randomly load some snap caps into your magazine along with ammo. When the snap cap chambers, it won't fire so if you're jerking the trigger or moving the gun in anticipation of recoil you'll see it.

      Dry fire...a lot.

When my Uncle Sam taught me to shoot I probably fired my rifle 20 times for every live round I sent downrange.

Try balancing a quarter on your barrel, dry fire, the quarter should still be balancing after the hammer falls.

Also have a partner load snap caps into your mags at the range randomly.

Is that your actual Uncle Sam or the US government?
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

I found all that talk of squeezing the trigger and having it go off should come as a complete surprise to be all BS.

You have a close quarters combat weapon, not some sort of long range competition rifle. What I am saying is once I got a lighter trigger with much less travel distance, all this flinching crap went away. Now it is like pushing a button. Nobody flinches when they push a button.

What kind of a trigger do you have for your AK? Can you get a better, shorter, lighter, quicker reset trigger? You still may not shoot like Rob Ski but I think you will be better.

This is pretty bad advice. Just even if you think your bad trigger squeez isn't affecting accuracy, it is.

Maybe such poor marksmanship is acceptable to the latest speed shooter craze shooting at man sized targets 20 feet away, but an AK pattern rifle is not a "close quarters" weapon. It's an intermediate range rifle used by many militaries around the world that expect their soldiers to hit man sized targets out to 300 meters.

                      This.

Some AKs have kinda 2 stage triggers with lots of creep that are a PITA to achieve any consistent accuracy. Remedy is replacing it with an ALG AKT or Tapco G2 trigger.

I bought a used WASR 10 5 years ago from a fellow Calgunner that had a Tapco G2 trigger installed. I had never even shot or even held an AK before my first trip to Angeles w it. Was hitting steel plate off hand at 200m 10/10 and I'm not even that good of a shot. It almost seemed too easy.

Could not believe the accuracy of that used WASR w cheap Wolf ammo.

Reprofiles Tapco G2 for the win!

22LR trainer. Cheap choices are ruger American for bolt gun practice, or ruger 10/22 for semi auto practice. Can get upgraded tech sights for the 10/22 to get the same sight picture as your garand.
