Is a Glove with a tool attached "illegal"

Here's the pics, sorry crappy phone pics.

Here's the story. I was using it at an outdoor range. A guy about 4 lanes over with an AK walks over to me and asked me why I was using 10rd mags. I told him because I was using a BB and showed him the glove. He freaked. He said since I was still using "my finger" it was illegal. We did several but, but but to each other , then he finally said, not to use the glove near him. I guess if it is illegal, everyone in a ten block radious is arrested too...(he didnt say that, I'm just being a jerk).

FTR, I say its a TOOL, I simply wear it while using it.

So since I know, he was a CALGUNNER, sorry if this causes trouble. I posted this in another thread and figured it was time to ask.

Pic of the extra one I have, hard plastic, doesnt mark up weapon.

    The glove

The extra one resting on my finger tip.

A glove with a tool attached is just a tool.

Hmmm, I'll have to try this out. What did you use to make it (besides the glove) ??

That's pretty sweet. Almost like you're using a standard mag release.

Now attach that to a ring and you got something.

Well I hate to say this, but a ring would be harder to use. This doesn't affect my trigger pull, is comfortable, will not slip off, doesn't twist in the glove, (its hot glued inside), and I use my "tool" finger to hit the magazine release.

A ring would: spin around and possibly get cocked the wrong way, pull off the finger, or slip down too far forcing the user to take their hand off the pistol grip to use, and the ring would have to be at a 90 degree angle.

The tool tip in the glove isn't straight out. Looks like it in the pic, but when the glove is on my hand, the tool is sticking out at an angle making it very easy to slip into the BB hole. Its not straight out, like a fingernail, its about 45 degrees forward.

I have no idea what this was. I found it in the garage one day. I will make a drawing of the whole thing (I cut it up to make this). Maybe someone will know what it was.

Someone else may have already hinted at it, but I was thinking "how could a glove worn by a tool be illegal? Don't their hands get cold too?"

OP, you stole my idea for a more natural mag release tool. Bravo! Calgunners really are a creative bunch.

I remember reading something one of the Magpul guys said, either Chris Costa or Travis Haley: "Either you are the weapon and your rifle is a tool, or your rifle is a weapon and you're a tool."
