    selling / shipping....rant !

OK...so my best friend wanted to sell his Ruger single ten , he asked to list it with no shipping , had one buyer that asked about shipping , great guy , we now know why MOST sellers won't ship !

dealers in Lodi...nope...won't do it. 2 shops...

dealer in Elk grove... WB...75 bucks to use our FFL , plus 25-30$ shipping....

that would bring the cost to the buyer to about the cost of a NEW one , and then would have to pay all the fee's on the other end too !

    that BITES.

just not worth it for buyer/seller to do anything else other then a PPT...

    rant over.

We get this post all the time find an ffl that has reasonable prices and you know sales tax is added on at ffl unless paid in ca when purchased. For out of state then sales/use tax charged.

California made private used gun sales a leader loss.
      They are proud of themselves.

I can't remember for sure but I think you asked around $50 for shipping when I bought the Colt from you. That's reasonable to me.
I sold a pistol once on Gunbroker and the buyer complained when I told him shipping was $45. That was $20 for Priority Mail with insurance and $25 for the FFL.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
