In my post, I made no reference to the OP's reaction (or anything for that matter). The only person I referred to in the original post was the guy purchasing the ammo. The tone of my post was about the general feeling of this thread, that "hoarders" were unfair, that they should "spread the wealth" (not my words) of supplies, that they should not buy the quantity they desire. That they should be punished for having the ability, the acumen, and the funds to buy in bulk before the next guy.

I think the OP was inside the store when the guy was grabbing everything.
Who on earth cares if the OP was in the store or not? We live in a capitalist society more power to the guy who was buying all the ammo. Sheesh. Let's move on....

          oh ok.

well i guess you could say were both mixed up.

Because when I said "share the wealth" it was meaning if someone is heading down to the range and needs a few rounds and is in your area you should gladly toss a few his way.

Without really knowing the guys story, how can you be pissed? Maybe he got "screwed" the last time he was there and has been waiting for ammo for weeks with his new .22. Right now its, "Buy what you can, when you can."

+1 on what a douche. That attitude is just wrong on a number of levels.

FWIW, I buy a brick of whatever is on sale just about everytime I go past a Big5. Yeah I pay a little more, but I just can't stand Mal-Wart.

Well the guy sounds like a total jerk, but if you'd of asked me the same thing and i didn't know you, then I'd of said no too, although I would of been much more polite and given you a BS excuse as to why I didn't want to sale it.

cool. One of the walmarts here has a limit on ammo, 4 boxes of 9mm, 6 of .40 and 2 for anything else so they have ammo quite a bit since one person can't just buy it all up. I also went to a different walmart this morning who had a bunch of 9mm (about 40 boxes) and .40s&w in stock. Three guys bought all the 9mm while I was there.

I was at Wallyworld a handful of months back, and a guy was buying all the WWB 9mm they had. He had like 20 boxes on the counter. I told him I had come down there to pick up some 9mm and he said," Hey I'll let have half, OK?" I said "Wow, thanx but I only wanted 3 boxes." So he took 17 and I got 3!
Now I wish I had taken the half!

If you want to buy a bunch and bury it in the backyard that's your business, but if you tell the person behind you to either 1) **** off or 2) "you can have it for double what it costs" you deserve to get knocked upside the head.

Funny... I made a post about this kind of behavior and got just the opposite responses. People seemed to think it was OK due to free enterprise. WTF? Ammo whorders su*k donkeys. At least leave a box or 2. I always do.

ya. I went to walmart this morning and they had 7 boxes of 9mm sitting on the counter still waiting to be put on the shelf. I wanted to buy it all, but felt guilty, so I bought 5 instead! I don't know why I felt guilty, there wasn't anyone else there buying any.. oh well.
