    shipping out of state

Do i have to go to my local FFL dealer and have him ship my hangun out of state to an FFL dealer in another state, or can i just package the gun up at my residence and ship it with UPS or FEDEX myself.

I have an interested party in another state who is wanting to purchase a handgun from me, this is why im asking.

This is a pretty novice question that has been asked and answered many times since you have been a member.

You do NOT need to use an FFL to ship a non-AW. If it were a long gun, you can just take it to the post office to ship it. Since it is a handgun, you need to ship it via common carrier (UPS, FedEx). You must ship it next day air, declare that it is a firearm, and ship it via a shipping hub, not a retail location like UPS Store or mailboxes etc.

As stated above....You can send it yourself as long as it is not an AW.

But before sending besure you recive a copy of the ffl that you are sending
to and bring a copy of it incase FedEx/UPS want to see it.
