anyone know if discount gun range and the gun range on balbao allow you to pickup your own brass?

Discount allows you to pick up brass as long as it is behind the firing line. They do not allow you to use any type of tool to retrieve anything forward. I've only shot at Balboa once but I believe the same is true.

Gun Range lets you pick up, and the RSO actually sweeps it up into your lane for you.

The Gun Range doesnt care. This is San Diego not LA where they are picky about stupid ****.

The Gun range also has sweeper things that can be used to get your brass is necessary. I usually only use them to get something that crosses the firing line so I dont get *****ed at for just reaching across.

Same. I collect my .30-30 brass and my .38 special brass without incident.

I don't know of a single range that didn't allow you to pick up your brass in SD that doesn't got beyond the firing line. Now some will not allow you to pick up others brass but that's another story.
