    what is cash and carry?

    I know this is a noob question, but i want to be sure. correct me if i am wrong but cash and carry is a any long rifle over 50years old and can be sold face to face without an FFL, all that is needed is for me to supply my Ca drivers license. Just wanted to be sure, because i was going to buy a mosin nagant 91/30 this weekend.

    That is a C/R (a curio relic) which may be purchased with cash and carried away! Except when purchased from a Gunshop as they Dros everything.

      So just to be sure i don't need any special license, just my Ca drivers license, nothing else right.

          And you only need your driver's license if you're driving there.

          If you're buying from a C&R FFL, he will almost certainly ask for identification, but if you're buying a 50+ year old rifle from another non-FFL, you only need to bring enough money.

            They may ask for your ID anyways and copy down your name, DOB, and CAID number just for their own records so they can later tell the ATF whom they sold it to if they ever get asked years later during a trace.
