Screws with pre-applied loctite ... HELP!

How do you get this stuff off the screw?

I have some torx screws with some factory pre-applied gummy yellow loctite like material them. I know that this is supposed to make the screw less likely to back out. However, all it does is make it hard to insert the screw in the mount.

Anyone know how to clean the screw and get this stuff off?

        Run it through a die.

I tried fire. Nothing. Next, tried acetone and goo gone. No bueno. Don't have a die.

Wire brush or wire wheel. You could run it through something else then install in what you really want to.
Even a razor knife around the treads would work.

Careful with fire if high strength bolt- easy to overheat small part and mess up temper. Acetone and brass brush is best. Don't use ss brush if its an ss screw. Easily may gall when you screw it in

can you match up the screw and just buy another one

sometimes you can call the gun manufacturer and they'll even send ya some replacement screws

You could chase the threads with a razor blade and pick off as much as you can.

You could also have someone with mechanical aptitude and hand strength great than an infant install it for you. 😬💅

                        Soak or wipe using acetone?
Loctite will soften with a soak, but not just wipe away.

A hot knife with an X-Acto blade will cut through enough of it.

you could try slowly easing it into the threads... screw it in a little bit, then back it out a bit, then in a little more and back out again, etc...

                          what are the screws for?
