I wanted to post a few pics of the lighting I just finished in my safe since there really aren't too many threads that I could find with many quality pics.
I bought two 16ft rolls of (RGB 5050) LEDs from amazon. They all seem the same, for the most part. I chose an RF signaled model, and bought from the best rated company (nexlux, or something similar), which happened to still be only around thirty bux for the 32 total feet of LEDs. I had to get some simple connectors and extra RGB wire to make my leads to each shelf. I also bought a splitter for the 4pin cable that comes from the rf receiver so that half of the load goes to the shelves and the other half goes to the door surround. I also put a motion sensor for activation, that cost about ten dollars.
Trouble - I ran into a snag, initially, when blue and green would run on all shelves, but red would not. I eventually found where I hadn't seated the LED strip into the connector well, and that problem was solved.
Tip - I also found that it was WAY easier to put the LED strip into the connector harnesses with the sticky cover paper still on; it gave the LED strip a lot more rigidity. Then, I tore the paper off by scratching at it from the side and tore the paper off at the harness, leaving a very little bit still attached.
No more BS, here are the pics.
white light (all LEDs installed) (This is how it looks normally in its completed form - the colors that the LEDs can do are just bonus and will almost never be used.)

Getting started

color tests with only the behind-the-shelves LEDs

Finished with all LEDS installed (door surround included)

Will put the color tests on the next post, too many pics for one.
