    Hi-power Browning question

So I recently bought 3 hi powers one of them (I think) is a rare nickle plated gold trigger hi power. Is there a way I can confirm that it came factory nickel plated

You can contact Browning and have a Factory Letter drawn up. They will do a check on the serial # and how that serial # left the factory in what configuration and send you the results.....Letters cost about 100.00

You can also pose the question to the 1911 crowd over at this sub-forum:
Discuss John Browning's other classic here.Dedicated to Stephen A. Camp who shared his knowledge and passion of Hi-Powers with the forum for so many years. Thanks Stephen

Browning has a historian you can contact directly. Try to call and give him the serial number over the phone and he will usually respond verbally at moving charge with a description of how your pistol left the factory.

Is it a shiny silver color or dull? Adjustable sights?

I have a silver-chrome Hi-Power with gold trigger that I bought new in 1993. It has a dull silver finish, gold trigger, and adjustable sights. Other than that it is a standard Hi-Power with the chrome done at the Browning factory.

Does it look like this? (Except from the factory it will have black rubber Pachmayr grips.)
