indeed, very intense
and, im not trying to be critical, because i've never had anyone pop out of a car waving a gun at me, but, man, i just felt like the 2nd officer at the rear of the truck kind of left his partner hanging when the guy showed his gun
seemed like he turned and took off, @ the 1:00 mark, maybe to get better positioning, but his partner was exposed, right there in the open to fend for himself - maybe that's just the way it had to be, hard to blame anyone, even an officer for trying to protect themselves, but...
that's just how it looked to me, he reengaged, maybe it was a good tactical move to get some cover and get back in the fight, only his partner was taking some fire at that point - he also took his eye off the shooter while backing off
like i said, don't wanna be critical but that's just how i saw it

S**t! It takes a special person to want to be a cop.

Sometimes the best way to cover your partner is to do what ever it takes to stay in the fight. If the initial officer had gone down incapacitated, you don't want to be standing 3 feet away from him. Plus there was the driver and "shotgun" passenger to be worried about as well.Comment

Puzzled about the perp though. Why just point the gun and pause instead of commencing shooting right away? Cops had to draw, he could have taken one with him.

Yes, that occurred to me too. we can't tell for sure whether he fired or not. But he certainly didn't fire in the very beginning when he clearly had the drop on the officers.
In other news, 1911 reload at 0:44. I love me some 1911's and notice these things.
