Torrance area FFLs that will release on undetermined?

I have a friend who is considering selling some of his guns.

Since DOJ has been slow on some approvals recently, I said I would try to find a nearby FFL that releases on undetermined.

    Turners: No
    Sharpshooter: No
    CAP Tactical: No
    Boogaloo Tactical: No

Crosshairs USA: Waffled on the answer so I will call and talk to another person later.

Ammo Bros Cerritos: Yes (or maybe, see post 11)

RifleGear is a yes last I heard, but looking for a closer place.

    Thanks!

I know there is a list of Bay Area FFLs, did my poor google-fu miss a more local list?

I've used a kitchen table FFL in Torrance and he was great. Maybe check with him.

      Try the FFLs forum

That does remind of Carson Pawn IIRC, will give them a call.

Posted here hoping someone would comment with their positive experiences.

        thanks

What is this " undetermined " nonsense ? either you're GTG or you're not.

Seems like another avenue to abuse your rights.

              Surprised?

FFLs "may" release on undetermined DROS status.
              Some do, many don't.

There have been a couple or so threads here recently where DOJ did not "get around" to approving even though there were no apparent issues.

My friend (yes, not me ) would not want to go through these things twice.

                Wrong.
                There is a undetermined status.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

                      Negative on Ammo Bros Cerritos..

I spent 30 days last year trying to pick up my handgun , three trips to the store and zero help on the phone.

Very disappointed with them. Maybe they changed their policy now.

Why would any FFL want to roll the dice with their personal freedom and their treasure and release a firearm to someone with an "undetermined" DROS result??? For the whopping profit in a PPT / DROS fee?

I suggest every seller have a disclaimer for the buyer to sign-

If the DROS fails and the firearm must be returned to the seller- I charge a 25% or $200 restocking fee

Make the buyer aware up front and in writing- if the seller is required to take the gun back due to any dros issue, what you charge.

                            Easy right

Buyers need to have a stake in the transactions success
                            Current address with DMV
Be able to buy a firearm
                            Etc
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                            (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Undetermined means that the DOJ can't "determine" if you are "good to go" or not during the 10 days they have to make that determination.

LAW only states that you need to be a prohibited person to stop the release of a gun.
If you are not determined to be prohibited, you are allowed by default.

Undetermined is therefore the same as "ok to release", but the DOJ leaves it to the discretion of the FFL to make the final determination.

Many FFL's decide that if the DOJ can't determine you to not be a prohibited person in 10 days that they will not do the release.
This leaves the gun tied up in limbo for people that have already paid for the gun.
Other FFL's decide that innocent until proven guilty is how it works and release the gun.
