Proof of address with pink slip?

Can I use my car pink slip as the second proof of address to buy the gun?

I tried using mine at Rifle Gear once and they wouldn't accept it. It doesn't hurt to try, but I'd try and find something else as a backup just in case.

RF do accept the printed change of address page from the DMV.

I don't think that would do.

I've used current car registration, proof of car insurance, PG&E bill with my name on it.

It’s not if the FFL will accept it, the DOJ won’t. There are specific requirements for POR and a pink slip doesn’t fulfill the requirement

Nope, but current registration is okay. I’ve also used a utility bill.

Registration, and AAA will amend the registration to match your DL for twenty bucks.

Take a closer look at the pink slip, it is a valid registration from the time of issue, until 1 year later.

It has a period of validity, is a registration, and is government issued.

No, a pink slip is not required to be kept updated with a current address. I have 30 year old dust covered pink slips that are legit, with old addresses. I don’t even know how you would update the address on the title. I guess apply for a new title everytime you move?

That is great for identifying the person, not so much their current address.

A pink slip has no expiration. A pink slip is not a valid registration. It is an ownership title/proof of ownership interest. A car can be unregistered and the pink slip is still valid title. One has little to do with the other (registration vs title). OP said pink slip not registration.

                      Highly doubt it.
You can use the DMV driver record to show a change of address though. Fill out this form: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/wcm/co...=AJPERES&CVID= and mail it to the DMV or go there in person (they'll print it out on the spot - once you actually get someone it takes like 5 minutes).

Why would you not just use your car registration? If you have a pink slip, you clearly own a car and I assume proper vehicle registration.

Use that for the California illegal alien benefits.

I sure wouldn't think so. You're not required to get a new pink if you move. Kinda worthless for validation. I'll tell you what though, to my surprise the tag that came with my handicap placard is accepted and those are good for 3 years.
