    Home laser training question.

My wife wanted to get me a home training system for my birthday. She was looking at iTarget pro and asked if there were any others. I know of G-sight systems and laserlyte. Who has experience with any of these systems and are there any recommendations? Thanks.

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Unfortunately my wife does not have the $300-$1500 for classes. She was hoping that a home training system would at least help my trigger discipline. Ammo is not only expensive but harder to get in Ca. No more shipping, FFLs are backed up enough without waiting 3 hours to buy ammo...yes, live training was and is my first choice.

Balance a dime on the front sight. When you can pull the trigger without knocking it off, you will be way further ahead and focused on the front sight.

Spend the cash on other things.

I have an iTarget and use it for draw and first shot practice. Very useful inexpensive training.

Good advice. Lasers get people to focus on the targets because they want to see where the laser hits. Even with reactive targets.

You'll be spending money just to spend money and won't improve your shot. MantisX is an option, it has interaction with the app and lets you know how much you are moving around. It isn't perfect, good instruction will get you further, faster with less training scars but I wouldn't do a laser (I own laser training tools).

lasrapp.com and SIRT pistol/AR bolt, but also acknowledge that these are not substitutes for live fire training

Yeah, I looked at these. Very nice but no Shield or PX4 and over $150. We're on a tight budget right now trying to get our finances to 0 debt so we can move... Front Sight is on my list of live training when I can do it.

                      I use this

                      And

I tried the SIRT Glock trainer at a gun store and did not like how the laser remained on when the trigger was depressed.

I take my time and focus on fundamentals: grip, sights, stance and no movement of sights as I squeeze the trigger. My groups shrank noticeably (for me).

It is a nice tool to practice for 20 min when I can’t get to the range.

I understand that the AR ejector is problematic for 223 laser.

Many competitive shooters use airsoft to train. I would suggest getting an airsoft pistol that matches your gun and shoot it in the yard or garage with sheets hung for the pellets. There's great airsoft targets available.

I got a g-sight 9mm and quite like it. I haven't got much time with it, but I've done some draw and reload drills. It does eat batteries but I got a pack of 100 for like $6 (and maybe the reason they don't last long). The free app is ok, I haven't purchased any of the upgrades. I did some draw practice without the app at all and found it better than nothing, but you do tend to look "over" the sights at the spot so I probably won't do that much. The app doesn't show your shots until you've done 10. I think it's awesome for being the cost of a couple boxes of ammo, if it gets me to train me between range trips.
