    Need an FFL

Can anyone recommend an FFL that will do private party transfers in the north San Diego County area or southwest Riverside County area (Temecula)?

I did a PPT over at Turner's once, in San Marcos. No hassle... it was a VZ-52 rifle. Took them a while to figure out what to write on the paperwork though.

Now, the question is more complicated if you're talking about an OLL, since some places won't transfer 'em. What're you transferring?

Does Bright Spot Pawn do PPT?
If it is an OLL I would try them.

This transfer will be for a pistol from out of state (on approved list). Thanks for the replies, keep them coming.

In that case, you're probably stuck with a regular DROS. PPTs are between California residents, not CA residents + someone from another state...

Would you happen to know if Turner's in San Marcos does out of state DROS?

Doesn't Turners charge like $75 to $90 for an out-of-state transfer? At that price, I think I'd look elsewhere...

I think I'll go with Precision Arms in Escondido. Their prices were very reasonable compared to a local FFL and others. Thanks for all your help.

Ive done a couple of xfers there... cant go wrong with them. Lately though Ill use Royal Loan off of El Cajon Blvd. The Guys/Gals that work there are fun to talk to. If your in the area.. give them a call and ask what their fees are. Im pretty sure its $45 first and $20 each additional.

Don't know, but I would agree with the other guys that if they did, it'd be an arm and a leg. They really just want to sell you THEIR guns. Like Nefarious says, Royal Loan is your best bet. Or if you're northern enough that Riverside is close by, I'd give a bigger vote to Bright Spot Pawn. You can fondle a nice assortment of H&K rifles up there most of the time...

The turners in Orange county do FFL tranfers. You will need to have the FFL person you are transfering the weapon too send a copy of their FFL to them. I would not recomend turners though because they do charge $70-100 depending on the store location I believe.

If you want to drive up to Orange County, Ade's in Orange will be happy to help you. He charges $45 + 15 for each additional.

Go to bunbroker.com and look for the FFL link, type in you're area code and it will pull up all FFL's in CA with the closest being first...

Call Iron Sights in Oceanside. I've done several PPT's there with no problems. Their number is 1-760 - 721-4388. Good Luck!
