FEDUPWBS in conjunction with Aloharover developed the maglock for the Saiga12 to bring 25 of them into the state for a group buy over a year ago. CJ even altered the new version of his lock to mimic FEDUP's after I brought up the purpose for the way it was designed in a different thread (he even mocked me for it in his sale post which has since been edited). And now he's retracted his offer for a pistol-grip conversion based on statements made by me and TheDrickel. No original thought whatsoever, and no credit where credit is due.

So instead you post it here?

How am I a thief? Because I built a mag lock for the Saiga that resembles one you built? Lets see, as far as I can tell, there are no patents on any Saiga 12 mag locks. The maglock that was developed by FEDUPWBS and Alohariver is made from a different material than mine. It was constructed using different methods than mine. Their mag lock is a piece of steel tubing with one side cut off. It has a steel tab welded to the side of it. My mag lock is all aluminum, no welding. The piece is milled to shape in order to cover the factory magazine release......Which by the way is not a new and unique idea. Just about every mag lock for AK pattern rifles uses the same concept.....cover up the factory mag release.

          Henderson Defense Mag Lock

          FEDUPWBS/Alohariver mag lock

          jjpearl Mag Lock

          jumbopanda mag lock

What is interesting is that all of these are steel. MINE IS NOT, AND NONE OF THESE ARE MILLED. And I noticed that the FEDUPWBS/Alohariver mag lock is almost identical to the Henderson Defense mag lock, materials, processes, and design. So why am I now called a theif?

CJ even altered the new version of his lock to mimic FEDUP's after I brought up the purpose for the way it was designed in a different thread (he even mocked me for it in his sale post which has since been edited).
So I responded to suggestions by members and made a revision to my first design. Again, using different materials and processes in construction that the FEDUPWBS design. As for me mocking you, I thanked you for your input! The reason that it is no longer in the thead is because after a few updates on the development and my progress, I deleted obsolete information to keep things organized.

And now he's retracted his offer for a pistol-grip conversion based on statements made by me and TheDrickel.
And what statement was that? I stated I was "working" on a version for pistol grip converted Saigas. I also gave an explanation for my decision to not proceed. "I am not offering a pistol grip converted Saiga 12 version at this time. There are too many differences in the conversions to have a one size fits all Lock-Block."

No original thought whatsoever, and no credit where credit is due.
So I guess that a part milled from aluminum is identical to a welded steel part. Tell that to all the AR-15 guys!

Credit Due: Thank you to all the members who PMed me with their input on this product. I did my best to give you what you wanted with my limited resources.

          No response.

Hey! How about some picture credit - that's my S-12!

Heh, just kidding, I'm not taking sides - just adding unnecessary fuel to the fire. Also, to add a little something - the "Henderson Defense" lock my not be their design, I think they buy them from someone else and then install them. At least that's what I understood from my conversations with them.

            Okay, carry on...

I had a conversation with Henderson Defense about their mag locks while I was working on the PG version. They said that the guy who came up with their design no longer works for them. The mag lock they have been using was developed by this guy while he was there. I am not sure where they get them now.

So if I start making them out of aluminum and sell them for $20 each how will you like that?

I think everybody will like that! Hey, I think you guys should know what I am trying to do here. I am just trying to give people more options. The more we get out there the better off we all are. I am not trying to make a business out of this. I don't have the time or resources to make very many of these. I only sold three! I am no really even making a cent on these anyway. It takes me forever to make one and by the time I pay for metal, and shipping, I am breaking even. If you recall, my original thought was that I just wanted something that looked a little cleaner than what I had and thought others might too. If you make them and can sell them for less and still make it worth you time, do it! That is great for you guys. Good luck.

you might be able to use foil and make it even cheaper.
