PSA for you guys going to the Big Show...

It’s Burning Man season, Reno around the casinos on Virginia is a mess. Parking is tight, road closures and mobs of Burners wandering the streets. And 80 eastbound is construction from Colfax to the state line, various and changing lane reductions are possible. The Atlantis is paying attention to parking over the next week or two.

Drive safe, be smart and enjoy all of the verboten contraband to Californians on display!

Ugh . . . I'm still in Reno now and I've seen none of this.

Downtown is deserted. Streets are wide open, excepr around Wingfield Park near Arlington and the river, where they're hilding an Aloha Festival.

No problems getting anywhere by foot or car.

Checked show out this morning. Saw a few vendors from Paso Robles show and a lot of C & R stuff. Now that I live up here just not seem as much fun????

Hard to tell since it was held in such a large room. It was still a show with a huge variety of guns and accessories but not enough beanie babies or jerky. I picked up two excellent condition G22 mags that were marked LEO/Mil only for $10 each.

As usual, Rock Island Auctions was there with a display of upcoming guns they will be auctioning. They always have very interesting guns and this show was no different; they had Herman Goerring's gun from when he surrendered. It is a gold plated and engraved PPK (or was it a PP?). Estimated auction value was $80K to $120K.
