CZ P-01 unfinished frame..

I put a CZ P-01 9mm on lay a way, i didn't see the pistol because the store had to ship a new in the box pistol to the store.

So today i looked over the pistol and noticed that inside the frame it is not coated the same as the slide ( slide is blue - inside frame is a light tan color ).

Is this a quality issue that i should reject, and put my money on another brand ?

This pistol would be a SD gun- what says cg'ers..

That's normal ...just shoot it and don't worry about it.

The frame wasn't unfinished metal / aluminum so i figure if that's the way it came from the factory it's ok..

All my CZ’s look unfinished under the dust cover.

I used to own a P-01 and the interior of the dust cover looked like a 5 year old took a dremel to it. Bought new. I guess it was a 5 y/o at CZ that did it.
anyways I sold it because it bothered me so much.
However it is normal for this model. Shoot the gun and enjoy it. If you return it then y99u will just another one just like it.

Thank you for the replies ~ my Dad had CZ's, but this is my first one.

I own mostly Glocks and H&K's and 1 T series 1968 Browning Hi-Power..

I'm planning on buying the SP-01 next..

To me, it seems that mainly the old Soviet-era CZ models have the rough insides. Beginning with the P-07/P-09, through the S2, to the P-10 models, the Western-era CZ's seem to have much cleaner machining on the inside.

Unfortunately, this is also where the CA Roster cuts off, so our impression here on Calguns is built mainly on Eastern Bloc CZ's.
