I agree that the slide on the XD9 subcompact is hard to cycle. It also seems heavy and thick to me for CCW...but I shoot it as well as my full-size guns and I win my club's "belly gun" matches with it regularly. So, I put up with it. I also plan on putting my LCP and CZ 75 on my permit for alternatives based upon the season and as clothing dictates.
