I'm going to guess it's a customized Smith K frame. The woman is Carol Daly who was a Sac County sheriff's deputy who worked the east area rapist case, which became the Golden State Killer case eventually. She retired in 2001 as the one of the under sheriff's I believe.Comment

I was just thinking if she is still around today Big Pimping would be ready for her.
And I think it Maybe a type of concave barrel crown that used to be done on custom pistols back in the day.
Here's a link to a website that does a modification similar to that called an 11-degree crown....
I think the purpose like most barrel crowns is to protect the rifle threads right where it exits the barrel because messing those up can throw off the barrels accuracy.Last edited by sealocan; 08-05-2018, 4:52 PM.Comment
