    Two rifles in 30 days?

    Hello CGN,
    I have a purchase question...
If I DROS a brand new rifle on the 1st of the month and DROS a used rifle a few days later...am I in for an extra wait time?
I understand there is a law, 1 new gun per 30 days...but a new one AND a used one?

    What say you CGN??
    Thanks

You "understand" the law wrong. There is a law about purchasing handguns from a FFL's inventory but, non handguns are not affected by that law. You can buy as many rifles as you want on the same day or just a few everyday of the year.

That's kind of incredible; for as long as you've been here and for as many I-Trades as you have, I would think you would know by now the 1-per-30 doesn't apply to long-guns.

The fact that politicians tried to pass a 1 in 30 for long guns probably confused the issue for many. Fortunately the attempt didn't go through. I'll bet they attempt it again too.

I can see that being very plausible. And they've tried it a couple of times, that often someone hears something that gets distorted as the existing law.

Can't believe how many times I've heard someone tell me that .50BMG ammo is banned in California, among other things.
