How's angeles on wednesday nights? does it get pretty crowded on the small end of the range? and is lighting enough to see out to the 100yrd targets?

Officially, Wed night shooting begins after 4:30 and ends at 9 pm. It's also half price or something like that. Was not crowded the few times I went during July and August. I thought that end of the range only shot out to 50 yards. Lighting was fine also.

Last time I was there, it wasn't crowded at all. I made the mistake of using shoot N see's. They project the light from where you sit, towards the target. It was pretty clear and bright enought to see. Although the light was glaring off my targets and I didn't shoot well. There wasn't enough time to change my targets ( I got there late, just right before the second to last cease fire). But over all its cool.

I wish I lived closer to Angeles range so I can make more trips up there.

Ooo, on Wednesdays Angeles stays open until 9pm? And half price? Sounds like I gotta start going on Wed nights.

Half price or reduced price starts after 4:30pm. At that time, only the pistol range is open, but you can shoot your rifles there as well (except 50 caliber).

It's half price all day Thursdays.

I wish the Angeles Range lives closer to me.

With SGVGC disappearing in a few weeks (so sad), I will become more a of regular at the Angeles Range.

                  At the pistol gallery?
I'm going to have to take a trip up there on Thursday.

If you like steel shooting, go to Oaktree Gun Club by the 5 and 14 freeways in Santa Clarita. They have all steel, but it is for pistol only. My kids like it there and you can shoot rapidfire. They also have a couple bays with a plate rack and a timer there so you can see how fast you can blast them 5 plates down. Check their hours before the trek as I have been there to find them closed.

Angeles is okay. Kind of anal on rules but they get a lot of losers up there so that is the reason. I'll go there if i have to.
