Need help ID'ing era of this ammo box

[ellorium]

I am new to this so sorry if I mess up attaching the pictures. I recently got this for a few bucks from someone who hordes old ammo boxes from his father/grandfather's old collections. Is this vietnam era? Korean era? Any help is appreciated. Thank you20180729_164946.jpg

Second picure shows the repack date of Dec 8, 44. WWII

Thank you very much. I suspected that was a date but the weird spelling combination of repacked and dec threw me off a bit. It's cool that I got it for cheap. or maybe they are cheap because they are common. either way it's nice to have a relic from the past

I have pretty much the same crate. I think they came from the same place -- a few years ago Midway USA was selling vintage WW2 ammunition. If you bought two spam cans, it would come in this wooden crate. It's a great piece photo prop, not to mention a fantastic piece of history!
