    New to site...

...like the style and manner of the chat. Think I may stick around. Hope the ownership problems work out soon.

I mainly hunt, some handgun fun. Not in any competitions.

Welcome, yes the sites going through a transition but it seems to be going pretty smoothly.

So again welcome, and don't forget to use the search!
    Please, calm down.

It is an AR pattern receiver that is not banned by name, and can be built so that it does not trigger the SB-23 deffinition of an assault weapon. You can find out more about it here: http://www.calguns.net/a_california_arak.htm

NIIIICEEE!!! A new avenue to explore.

I have never had anything other than hunting long guns and a whole slew of handguns. Never really thought about the M16 variations, etc., but this could be fun.

                  Whats in that magazine?

They look bigger than the 223.

Oh yeah, welcome aboard dirt, this next year promises to be quite exciting around here. The Assembly is due back in session in december. This last time around we were just getting warmed up when they recessed. Seven times they tried to vote in Microstamping. Only allowed one vote. Unless its anti gun, then thr rules don't apply.
We listened in on the interent, kewl beans that was.

Well they aren't nearly as abundant as the AR-15 lowers. The only AR-10 lower currently available is the Vulcan. They have had some fitment and quality control problems, though others will defend them saying they have had no problem. Rock River Arms should release their .308 lower at some point in the near future. Hopefully within a year .

that being said, SJGE had the vulcan .308s the last time I was in there. I just might go get one once I get my AK built

Yeah it's 308, but it's a Vulcan/Hesse HAR25 complete lower. It's going to be a long time before I can get an Armalite AR10T upper for it, so I thought I would post just what I have now.

                              but it's a Vulcan/Hesse HAR25

Are you saying that as a correction or as in a difference in quality or price?

                              I want one.
