    Thug gets a slug !

While we shooters lament the death of persons who exhibit bad judgement, there really is no need for persons to become violent over simple disagreements.
It should be noted violent behavior against citizens in free states could end badly for the perpetrator!

"Inside the store, McGlockton caught wind that someone was disrespecting his girl so he came storming out. He violently shoved Drejka to the ground and stood over him in a menacing way. Drejka pulled out his legally-owned and licensed handgun and fired one shot into McGlockton’s chest.

McGlockton grabbed his chest and then went running back into the store. He collapsed and died."

After watching the video a few times, I think he fired twice. Looked like the gun kicked twice.
Good shoot. Reminded me of the Michael Brown incident. 300-lb. Brown assaults a much-smaller cop.

IIRC from the article I'm another thread, it was confirmed he only fired once.

McGlockton? Wtf? Irony? This has to be fake news.

Edit: No this is real news. I see a lot of fail here. Everyone should be ashamed. Shooter didn’t seem like he had to shoot, McGlockton had no right to shove him in the first place. Just terrible.

Drejka had a legitimate quarrel about the handicap spot with no placard. But wow that escalated too fast. Life is very fragile I guess.

Didn’t Machiavelli say an armed society is a polite one? Where is the respect from anyone?

              Florida is nuts. Wow.

Brown was 6'4" and 292 at the time of his death
Wilson was 6'4" and 210 at the time of the shooting....

IMO mike Brown deserved a slug when he assaulted the much smaller Asian clerk.

Most recently, it was Robert Heinlein:

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.
Another of his quotes seems to fit this story more accurately:

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

I don't think if it's wrong to tell a non handicapped person to not park in handicapped space.
It is wrong to assault someone over a minor correction .

From other news reports it looks like the shooter had a history of staking out that handicapped parking spot. He would confront anyone who parked there without a hc placard. Store owner told him to stop, but he wouldn't.

Imho the shooter was actively looking for trouble, he was the aggressor, and this is not a good shoot, regardless of being shoved to the ground.

....But I'm just a guy on the internet.

We don't have the audio, so we don't know the exact verbal exchange. If the shooter was only cursing and yelling, that was not the aggression. If he threatened to shoot someone, that would be another story. According to the Sheriff, who had an opportunity to watch the video and interview both parties, along with the bystanders, the shooter wasn't the aggressor. Let's see if DA agrees on that.

Did the "tough boy" deserve a shot or not, will still be a controversial question, regardless of the jury decision, if any. However, it will be a good lesson for all the bullies and wanna-be cops
