Yep, I'd love to see one in San Jose or thereabouts.

Anyone have an address for this Tom Small? I'd like to encourage him to hand out NRA, CRPA, etc. membership forms with every gun they sell. They should train their people to ask if their customers are active, vote, etc. How many Turners customers are already doing what they can, vs. how many are first-time buyers, etc? I'd bet if they started at least encouraging people to get involved, we could see a positive effect.

I just heard this news last night at my local store, I've always been happy with Turners and am hoping the great sale prices I've gotten over the years will continue. Supposedly shops will be upgraded to compete with the Bass Pro shops that will be coming into California.

There was a big stink in WON (Western Outdoor News) a few weeks ago. Seems that Turner's pulled their ads from WON because Bass Pro Shops started advertising their Vegas store.
Turner's was probably the biggest single advertiser in WON.
Turner's claimed "change in strategy", WON claimed "ultimatum - them or us".
Funny that WON had a big, glowing article on the acquisition today.
Does this mean that Turner's new owner realizes the mistake, or that WON won?
Since the acquisition has supposedly been in the works for awhile, it doesn't seem likely that the new owner would have been blind to the debate.

Future ads will tell the tale.

Yeah, my first thought on the news of the sale was WON (Western Outdoor News)!! I subscribe so I would like to see them back in there again...even though I'm online enough to see it there as well.

                    From website.

"And then Turner's Outdoorsman will just get bigger and better."

This sounds like prices will go up..

We're going to add even more value to our customers, and thank them for their loyalty."

                    but then they state this..
I HONESTLY hope they stay the same and or lower price wise on what they can..

I would hope the put the stack on safes
not the super expencive ones, but the locker style ones on sale

I want one, but cash is tight..
                    or any safe lol..

ALso i hope they dont make tons of changes and hope they also are willing to listen to customers input.,ideas etc...

sudden change wihtout customer input often can kill a business
