    Eezox still around?

Thinking about trying some eezox. Most reviews i see are from years back. Is this clp still relevant? Heard they may have changed the formulation.

Years ago, I used CLP but nowadays I use synthetic motor oil for gas gun and pistol lube.

For bore cleaner, I mix my own - ATF, Gunk Engine Flush, and Kroil. Works well against carbon while Wipe Out Foam Bore Cleaner is a no-brainer approach to cleaning.

A friend of mine clued me in on eezox for long term corrosion protection. Yeah, but, checking the humidity level of my safe is a "safer" bet against corrosion.

I read something about eezox being really bad for you, so i stopped using it. I did like how it smelled actually. That's probably the bad part.

I have used eezox for many years and it's been great... The price has always been so high though I'm going to try out the newer Hornady One-shot cleaner and lube... It Rated higher than eezox in recent tests for long term rust protection... I think I paid $9 for a 10oz spray can,, havent used it yet...This is not the one-shot reloading brass spray lube...
            Cheers

Reports are good with Eezox....I use it. Simple cleaner, lubricant, and metal protectant....dries non-greasy.

Use different lube, but use Eezox in barrel and slide.

              .

i use it. bought a small 8oz tin of it, then liked it so i bought a 1 quart tin that i only just opened last year.

a little goes a long way as you don't need for it to be dripping off your guns to do its job.

i will still use hoppes for barrel cleaning though, as the eezox doesn't get all the carbon fouling out.

i also use it around the house for squeaking hinges and door locks.

I still use the stuff. Love it for shotguns with the spray. My wife loves the smell of it so much, that the one time I used something different to clean and oil her SX3 she said it didn't smell right. Used to be a top corrosion preventative, there may be stuff out there that is better now, I don't know.

Think it was trichloroethane or something. Thats why i wondered if it is still good.
Gonna try it out, i like the dry look

Been using it for years; love the stuff.
Still use a mix of other products for lube but for cleaning/corrosion protection it's the jam.
