First bolt gun

I've been wanting to get my first bolt gun and have had my eyes on the 6.5 Creedmoor Ruger American Predator with Vortex scope.

I've heard a lot of good things about it but also see a huge lack of third party magazines and see a lot of complaints about the magazines.

Is this the gun I should get or what guns do you recommend I look at? I really want something chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor which is capable of shooting 1000 yards.
I'd like to keep it under $1000

How about a Remington ADL 700 in .308, Super Sniper 10x? In keeping w/ the $1K budget.
Yeah, on paper .308 falls a bit short vs. the 6.5 but it cam be done. Cheaper ammo.

I believe Rex on youtube does a 2 parter usinf a Savage 10 and an SS for a thousand. Ive been back and forth between that Ruger, a Savage, and Possibly a Tikka for just a bit more...

The Thompson Venture or Compass are very reasonable--as low as $200 and have a sub moa guarantee
That would leave you a lot of room for an excellent scope and some ammo.

Now that Im burned out after all these gun laws and AR bullcrap. I think this is where Il be playing until i escape the state. Ironically this toy section is even more expensive....
